The Opportunity
A specialist healthcare strategy and market research consultancy is looking for an ambitious and analytically minded Healthcare Market Research Consultant to join its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about healthcare, pharmaceuticals, life sciences and market research who wants to work on commercially important projects that influence strategic decision-making.
You will support a range of projects for clients across the healthcare and life sciences ecosystem, using a combination of primary research, secondary research, data analysis and strategic thinking to generate actionable insights.
The role offers exposure to senior clients, varied project work and the opportunity to develop strong expertise in healthcare market research and strategy.
About the Role
You will work as part of a collaborative consulting team, contributing to projects from initial research and hypothesis development through to analysis, insight generation and client presentation.
Projects may cover areas such as:
  • Pharmaceutical and biotech markets.
  • Medical devices and diagnostics.
  • Healthcare services and providers.
  • Patient and healthcare professional insights.
  • Market opportunity assessment.
  • Competitive intelligence.
  • Market sizing and forecasting.
  • Product, brand and portfolio strategy.
  • Customer segmentation and targeting.
  • Commercial strategy and growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct primary and secondary healthcare market research to address client questions.
  • Research pharmaceutical, biotech, MedTech and broader healthcare markets.
  • Conduct desk research using industry reports, databases, company information and publicly available sources.
  • Support primary research activities, including expert interviews, healthcare professional research and stakeholder interviews.
  • Develop research frameworks, interview guides, questionnaires and discussion materials.
  • Analyse qualitative and quantitative research findings.
  • Identify key market trends, competitive dynamics and commercial opportunities.
  • Support market sizing, forecasting and commercial modelling.
  • Develop hypotheses and use research and analysis to test them.
  • Translate complex information into clear, commercially relevant insights.
  • Prepare high-quality client presentations, reports and supporting materials.
  • Contribute to client meetings and presentations.
  • Work closely with senior consultants and project leaders to deliver projects to a high standard.
  • Manage individual workstreams and take ownership of assigned research and analytical tasks.
  • Contribute to the development of new research approaches, methodologies and sector knowledge.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality and attention to detail across all deliverables.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in healthcare and life sciences, combined with an analytical and commercially minded approach.
You will ideally have:
  • Experience in market research, consulting, healthcare research, strategy or a related analytical environment.
  • A strong interest in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotech, MedTech or life sciences.
  • Excellent research and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience conducting secondary research and interpreting industry information.
  • Exposure to primary research or qualitative research would be advantageous.
  • Strong numerical and quantitative skills.
  • The ability to work with data and draw meaningful conclusions from complex information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel capabilities.
  • The ability to present information clearly and logically.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • The confidence to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team.

A degree in a relevant discipline such as:
