Publications/Publication Planning – Medical Affairs
- This is NOT a sales role or operations role, but rather Client Services/Account Management
Our longest-standing medical communications partners are actively seeking to add an Account Director to the team. This is a new full-time permanent role, working with an excellent company with demonstrated continuous training and career progression. We are ideally looking for a diverse background in medical affairs, promo meded, and commercial, but experience within publications and publication planning is required. Your work can be strictly pubs focused or a mix of medical affairs & publications for the right applicant. This is a great opportunity for somebody with strong leadership abilities to guide and direct junior staff and provide both tactical and strategic direction to achieve objectives.
We are looking for experienced client services professionals with ~7 years of industry experience within Medical Communications. Professionals with relevant experience in client services within healthcare with different job titles are welcome to apply and discuss further (Account Manager, Sr Account Manager, Account Director, Sr Account Director, Client Service Manager, etc.).
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead, oversee and manage the day-to-day activities within assigned accounts, working with and reporting to the account services department senior leadership
- Drive the development and organic growth of assigned accounts
- Meet with assigned clients and provide strategic recommendations
- Management & mentoring of direct reports
Qualifying for this position requires the following:
- Seven (7) + years of account services/account management experience within a medical communications company setting
- This is NOT a sales role or operations role, but rather Client Services/Account Management
- Publications/Publication Planning experience
- CMPP certification is a plus
- BA/BS degree
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
- Ensure that client service delivery meets customer needs while strengthening client relationship to expand business opportunities
- Excellent time management and fiscally responsible budget maintenance
- Excellent relationship-building, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Project)
