Scientific Director
£65,000 – £80,000 + benefits
London or remote

Their scientifically creative team is made up of client services, scientific strategists, medical writers, creatives, and digital specialist and operate a fully collaborative working structure.
Working with the top 20 pharmaceutical and biotech partners to deliver the best, most impactful communications that help drive change and improve patients lives.
This phenomenal opportunity will see you working closely with the founders and senior leadership team, to help shape the agencies growth, whilst stepping into a strategic leadership role yourself.
Role:
- Lead and provide strategic direction on a range of accounts
- Develop and drive high-quality, scientifically accurate content to meet client briefs across a variety of project types
- Plan and lead client meetings
- A proven track record in coaching/mentoring others to develop their potential and inspire them
- Drive scientific content for new and organic business growth opportunities
- Play an active part in the growth of the wider business
Requirements:
- PhD in a life science discipline (or equivalent relevant experience)
- Extensive experience within a medical communications agency
- A keen eye for detail encompassing scientific content and editorial standards
- Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas, both orally and in writing
- Strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to interact confidently with colleagues, clients, and external experts
- Ability to manage own workload across multiple projects, and lead a team to deliver projects to time and budget
- Proven line management experience
- Experience in Ophthalmology or Cardiology – beneficial
