Publications/Publication Planning – Medical/Healthcare Communications – Medical Affairs

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Strong background and foundation in Publications & Publication Planning and/or Medical Affairs
  • Participating in the development of concepts and planning for assigned client/account projects, working with clients, and staff management, interact with KOLs & faculty
  • This position is responsible for QA/QC, directing/leading/mentoring a team in the development of editorial content, and maintaining the scientific integrity of all medical communication deliverables produced for assigned client(s)/account(s)
  • Providing scientific and strategic insight for content development
  • Providing scientific support towards organizational business development activities
  • Creating, executing, and ensuring compliance of scientifically sound publications & publication planning activities within assigned account(s)
  • Understanding of current industry guidelines
  • Ensuring client projects & tasks are completed on time and within budget
  • Initiative to gain necessary background on product and/or therapeutic category

 

Qualifying for this position requires the following:

  • At least five (5) or more years of agency medical communications experience (required)
  • Publications- Publication Planning or Medical Affairs experience is required
  • CMPP certification is a plus
  • Advanced degree in the Life Sciences (PhD, PharmD, MD)
  • Experience utilizing online medical resources
  • Experience mentoring and managing staff/direct reports a plus
  • Strong scientific acumen and ability to remain up-to-date on the therapeutic landscape
  • A team player with the ability to lead by example with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational and time management
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
