The Opportunity
A specialist healthcare and life sciences advisory firm is seeking an entrepreneurial and commercially driven Partner to lead and expand its Life Sciences practice.
The firm advises corporates, investors and healthcare organisations globally, combining deep sector expertise with rigorous analytics to deliver evidence-led recommendations across complex strategic and transactional situations.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an established life sciences consulting or advisory professional who has the commercial credibility, client relationships and entrepreneurial drive to build and scale a practice.
The successful candidate will have significant responsibility for shaping the strategic direction of the Life Sciences offering, originating new business, developing senior client relationships and overseeing high-impact advisory engagements.
The Opportunity
The Partner will take a leading role in developing and scaling the firm’s Life Sciences proposition across key segments including:
- Pharmaceuticals, including innovator and specialty pharma
- Biotechnology
- MedTech and diagnostics
- CDMOs and CROs

The role combines practice leadership, business development, senior client advisory, thought leadership and team development.
There is a clear mandate to leverage an existing platform and network while identifying new opportunities to significantly expand the firm’s presence across global life sciences markets.
Key Responsibilities
Practice Leadership & Growth
- Define and execute the strategic vision and growth plan for the Life Sciences practice.
- Shape and expand the firm’s proposition across pharmaceuticals, biotech, MedTech, diagnostics, CDMOs, CROs and healthcare investment.
- Identify market opportunities and develop strategies to increase the firm’s share of the Life Sciences advisory market.
- Lead major commercial due diligence and strategic advisory mandates.
- Build and scale a high-performing Life Sciences consulting team.

Contribute to broader firm strategy, investment decisions and practice development.
Business Development & Client Relationships
- Originate, develop and close new advisory engagements.
- Leverage an established senior network to generate immediate pipeline and accelerate growth.
- Develop trusted relationships with C-suite executives, senior corporate leaders and investment professionals.
- Expand relationships across pharmaceutical, biotech, MedTech and healthcare investor communities.
- Identify opportunities to broaden existing client relationships and create repeat business.
- Strengthen the firm’s positioning with private equity, corporate and other institutional clients.
- Represent the firm externally at relevant industry conferences, investor forums and client events.

Client Delivery & Advisory
- Provide senior oversight on complex commercial due diligence, strategy and transaction-related engagements.
- Act as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives, boards, private equity investors and other senior stakeholders.
- Ensure analytical rigour, commercial relevance and consistently high-quality client outputs.
- Bring deep sector expertise to complex strategic and investment decisions.
- Guide project teams in developing robust analysis, market perspectives and actionable recommendations.

Experience
The ideal candidate will bring:
- 12–20+ years of relevant experience in management consulting, life sciences leadership, transaction advisory or a closely related environment.
- A strong track record in commercial due diligence and/or Life Sciences strategy.
- Deep experience within one or more areas including pharmaceuticals, biotech, MedTech, diagnostics, CDMOs, CROs or healthcare investment.
- An established network across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare or investment communities.
- Demonstrated ability to originate and convert new business.
- A strong history of revenue generation and client relationship development.
- Experience leading complex client engagements and multidisciplinary teams.
